In-Cabin Sensing Workshop
This two-day workshop will feature over 10 hours of content developed and presented by Harvey Weinberg, Director of Sensor Technologies at Microtech Ventures. The workshop will offer a comprehensive overview of the automotive in-cabin sensing landscape and will include the following sessions:
1) What’s driving growth in in-cabin sensing? We will discuss which applications are being pushed forward by legislation, as well as which features are being adopted to improve driver and passenger safety and user experience.
2) What are OEMs proposing? What will be offered soon (in the next 5 years) and what is being discussed for the more distant future?
3) We will discuss the various in-cabin sensing applications currently proposed by established automotive Tier 1s and emerging startup companies. This section will be broken down into sensors that can fulfill mandated requirements, as well as sensors to improve user experience. Furthermore, we will explain how many of these sensors work and what will distinguish one approach from the other.
4) We will review the ecosystem of in-cabin sensors makers, from Tier 1s to component suppliers, such as: Affectiva, Ambarella, AMS, Analog Devices, Azcom, Bosch, Continental, Denso, Eyersis, Gentex, Harman, Hyundai Mobis, IEE, Infineon, Innosent, OnSemi, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments, Valeo, Vayyar, and Visteon (non-exhaustive list).
This workshop will be presented by Harvey Weinberg, Director of Sensor Technologies at Microtech Ventures, a global firm focused on investments, M&A advisory services, management consulting, and business development for sensors, MEMS, and microtechnology companies.
