Seaport Autonomy: The Next Frontier in Logistics Transport
There is perhaps no better place to witness the world’s supply chain and logistics hurdles as seaports, where port congestion and container backlogs have become the norm: trucks wait for hours, ships are stranded offshore for days and weeks, and containers are buried in packed terminal yards – all with a negative impact on the economy. These bottlenecks give way to opportunity, and we are seeing seaport autonomy and freight mobility infrastructure advancing to improve logistics movement. This session will discuss autonomous technology’s role in increasing throughput and product at ports, and alleviating some of our supply chain woes.
